Buying, selling or renting your home can be a life-changing experience and I will make sure that it’s handled with care, discretion, and professionalism every step of the way.

How much can you afford?

Before getting serious with your search, it's a good idea to work out how much you can afford to borrow. At Keystone, we look at your net monthly income, your outgoings and what disposable income you have. This is to ensure that you are not stretched financially and can comfortably afford the monthly repayments.

Start looking!

Now you know what you can afford, you can begin your search! Think over these questions first ...

  • How many bedrooms do you need?
  • Are car parking facilities or a garden important?
  • Are you bothered by traffic noise?
  • Do you need a school nearby?
  • Where would you want to live in relation to your workplace?
  • Would you prefer a brand new home or an older one?
  • Do you prefer the town or somewhere more rural?

Be ready to make an offer

When you have found your ideal home, it's important to get your mortgage arranged as quickly as possible. When you apply for a mortgage through Keystone, we will ensure that things move as smoothly as possible. However, mortgages by their very nature, take a few weeks to sort out, so the sooner you make an appointment with us the better.

What are closing costs?

Closing costs, ranging from 1.5 to 4%1 of selling price, are the legal and administrative costs you will need to pay when your house closes. In addition to closing costs, there are other expenses and/or events that may require a cash outlay before, on or after your house closes. We will outline these in detail to ensure these often unexpected costs do not sneak up on you.

Anna was incredibly flexible with our sporadic schedules and made it as easy as possible for us to view properties of interest.  Buying your first home is nerve racking, to say the least, and we were so lucky to have had Anna be there every step of the way. She was considerate (always aware of the challenges a young family in the downtown core face) generous and honest. I can't say enough about her and the work she did for us.  We are deeply grateful to her.  She went above and beyond.  Early on Anna didn't feel like a stranger helping out, it was apparent that she actually cared about us and our future. She is also incredibly skillful in her work. Vogue magazine, just this month, voted our area #2 on the list of hip districts in the world. Our building is fantastic and getting better every day, our neighbourhood is actually very family friendly. Our four year old now has neighbourhood and school friends, who meet at the park just around the corner. We love where we live and Anna played a huge part in that.

Anna was very warm person and did not push or force to look into houses that we did not like. She also understood the requirements of our dream home. We have been living in our home for more than a year now and thanks to Anna. It took us a very short time and Anna did all the research that helped us make a decision. I will recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new home.
